Editing features

Create and edit map features in dynamic layers and view or change the dynamic attributes of map features during analysis.  Whether you're using ArcMap, ArcScene, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo, you use the same editing tools in Scenario 360 to work on your geographic data.  Scenario Sketch tools provide convenient ways to create and edit map features and their attributes for use in scenario analysis.

Start and stop an editing session in Scenario 360

  1. Click the 360 Analysis tab Start Edit icon .

    Click the Start Scenario Editing button on the Scenario 360 toolbar.

  2. Click the Scenario drop-down list, select the scenario you wish to edit, and click the Edit button.

  3. Select the target layer that you want to edit from the ArcMap Editor toolbar Target drop-down list.

  4. Start editing your scenario using any of the tools on the ArcMap Editor toolbar.  You can select, reshape, add, or delete features on the map.  For more information on working with the ArcMap Editor toolbar, refer to the ArcMap help.

If you create a new feature that has a dynamic attribute formula with “user choice” or “user input” variables in it, you will be prompted to provide information about the feature you have just created.

  1. When you have finished editing your map features, stop the editing session by clicking the Stop Scenario Editing button  on the Scenario 360 toolbar.

  2. You will be prompted to save or discard your edits.  Click Yes to save your edits, click No to discard your edits, or click Cancel to return to the editing session.
