Users of CommunityViz 1.x who are upgrading to Scenario 360 will see many changes and improvements. A major difference is that while CommunityViz 1.x works as an extension to ArcView™ 3.x, Scenario 360 is tailored to take advantage of the architecture of ArcGIS® 9.
Scenario 360 for ArcGIS implements a personal geodatabase environment for dynamic scenario modeling and is compatible with all geodatabases.
Scenario 360 provides a new, easier interface. Scenario 360 offers more efficient, intuitive navigation via a Scenario 360 toolbar, an interactive work flow guide for analysis and setup, clear analysis exploration controls, and a variety of choices for experimenting with alternatives.
Multiple scenarios are managed within a single ArcMap document enabling alternatives to be viewed side by side. A special "Scenario Comparison" window provides the ability to view any combination of maps, images, and charts.
Advanced users of CommunityViz 1.x will notice that some functions of CommunityViz 1.x are not included in Scenario 360. These include the Policy Simulator forecasting model, sensitivity analysis, and certain X-Functions.
Scenario 360 supports automated conversion of CommunityViz 1.x scenarios.
