Scenario 360 supports automated conversion of CommunityViz 1.x scenarios. This process consists of first exporting your CommunityViz 1.x scenario using the CommunityViz Scenario Exporter tool included with Scenario 360.
The Exporter tool is included with the installation of Scenario 360 and can also be loaded by itself from the Scenario 360 Resource Disk. When you install Scenario 360, an export extension will be installed in your \ESRI..\EXT32 extensions folder. If Scenario 360 is not installed on the workstation where your CommunityViz 1.x scenarios are located, extension file CVXP.avx must be manually copied from the Scenario 360 Resource Disk into the \ESRI..\EXT32 extensions folder on that workstation.
Directions for exporting a CommunityViz 1.x scenario are below. Once you have exported your CommunityViz 1.x scenario, you can import it as a Scenario 360 analysis. Note that, sometimes, certain layers cannot be imported automatically and some old-style formulas cannot be completely translated.
Install Scenario 360 or copy the CommunityViz Scenario Exporter extension (CVXP.avx) from the Scenario 360 Resource Disk onto the computer hosting the scenario you wish to export.
Open your CommunityViz 1 scenario in ArcView™ 3.x.
Click the File menu and click Extensions.
Click to place a checkmark next to the CommunityViz Scenario Exporter extension and click OK.
A CommunityViz
Scenario Exporter toolbar button
and a CommunityViz
Scenario Exporter menu option have been added to your ArcView view.
Click either
option to launch the CommunityViz Scenario Exporter. An
export file will be created that describes your scenario.

Once export is complete, an information window
will be displayed providing information about the export and where the
export file was saved. If
you wish to copy the information in this window, click the Copy
to Windows Clipboard button
. Click
OK to close the window.
