The 360 Analysis tab presents your analysis in a way that anyone can use to explore and experiment with analyses. The features can be used at any time and in any order (except for editing and exploring attributes). You can use this tab to:
change assumptions and assess their impacts
edit the map
view indicators, charts, and alerts
create presentation materials
Most of the 360 Analysis icons toggle windows on and off. This means you can click once on an icon to open the relevant window then click it again to close that window. Use the Active Scenario drop-down list at the top of the tab to select the scenario you wish to work with.
Click once on Assumptions
to experiment
with assumption values during analysis. These
slider bars, choice buttons, and drop-down lists will allow you to investigate
the implications of varying the assumptions An assumption is a value that is used as input to an analysis and it
is often changeable. Assumptions apply to an entire scenario. For example,
your assumptions about water consumption per household will impact the
indicator for total water consumption for a scenario. Assumptions can
also be a way to express subjective inputs, such as how much weighting
to give to a particular community value like open space or economic development.
Output values that depend on a particular assumption are automatically
updated when the assumption is changed and you click the Apply button.

features Features on a map are individual points, lines, or polygons. A typical
map layer contains multiple features that together illustrate geographic
information. In the 3D viewer, a feature is a shape that represents an
actual or imaginary object such as a building, road, or tree.
in Scenario 360 using the ArcMap Editor. You
can add features to a map, modify the shape of existing features, or change
attributes of individual features. When
you are finished editing, click once on Stop
Edit.
Click once on Attributes
to view or
modify dynamic attribute A dynamic attribute is an attribute that is automatically updated as
changes are made in the analysis. For example, a proposed road layer may
contain dynamic attributes for length, pavement type, intersecting slopes,
and construction costs. As each new road segment is added or modified,
each of these dynamic attributes will be updated automatically. A formula
is associated with each dynamic attribute that specifies how the attribute
is calculated.
values in your analysis. Using
the unique capabilities of Scenario 360, dynamic attributes automatically
update as changes are made in the analysis. This button is only available
if an ArcMap
editing session is active.
Click once on Indicators
to view the name, description, category, formula,
and assumptions affecting an indicator Indicators are the impact or performance measures that help people choose
alternatives that best match their objectives or desired outcomes. An
indicator is a calculated value that represents the impacts or outcomes
of a scenario. Indicator results are automatically recalculated as you
experiment with alternatives and the results can be displayed in a chart.
Indicators apply to an entire scenario. An indicator might be used to
evaluate costs, revenues, average household size, "community benefit",
or total daily auto trips..
Click once on Charts
to open the chart view, which will display charts Values for indicators, assumptions, dynamic attributes are automatically
calculatedas you experiment with alternatives and the results can be displayed
graphicallyin a chart. Charts are dynamically linked to assumptions and
designated themes. As changes are made in the analysis, chart displays
will update automatically toreflect analysis results.
and chart information.
Click once on Alerts
to view all alerts An alert may be associated with an assumption, a dynamic attribute,
or an indicator. An alert is used to monitor values during analysis and
report if specific conditions occur. Alerts may be displayed as a chart
with (colored) target bars, an alert message, or as a feature symbol on
a map.
in an analysis, to select alerted features, and to run or clear alerts.
Click once on Reports
to summarize the inputs, calculations, and outputs of
one or more scenarios.
Click once on Diagram
to display a diagram of the analysis showing connections
and relationships between components.
Click once on 3D
to open the SiteBuilder 3D viewer (if you have created
a SiteBuilder 3D scene).
Click once on Compare
Scenarios
to launch the Scenario 360 scenario comparison
display feature. This
will allow you to view any combination of maps, images, and charts side
by side.
Click once on Saved
Views
to save a view or open previously saved views.
