You can set alerts to notify you if a goal, target, threshold, or constraint condition has been reached. For example, an alert might be used to inform you that school capacity has been exceeded, that zoning is inappropriate for a proposed feature, or that a conservation goal has been attained.
An alert may be associated with an assumption, a dynamic attribute, or an indicator. An alert is used to monitor values during analysis and reports if specific conditions occur. When an alert is active, it may display alert icons on charts or assumption lists; it may change the color of charts and add colored alert lines to them; it may highlight features on the map; and it may display an alert message in the Alerts window.
An alert condition is the value you set to notify you if a goal, target, threshold, or constraint condition has occurred.
